Hi, I’m Maureen.

My Approach

Imaginative

What if? It’s my favorite springboard to storytelling.

I believe:

  • everyone has a story to tell

  • every story has a home

  • and words matter, no matter the medium.

Iterative

Brainstorm. Write. Rewrite. Edit. Rinse. Repeat.

When you work in TV news, you thrive on collaboration, writing quickly, navigating real-time edits, and unlocking the true impact that storytelling can make.

When you work in corporate communications, you embrace the power of branding, the art of messaging, and new ways to engage, reach and grow audiences.

As a writer, I began my career in broadcast journalism, producing daily newscasts at TV stations along the East Coast. As an Emmy-nominated writer and producer, I loved building rundowns, crafting scripts, and the incredible teamwork it takes to bring live TV to life.
Following TV news, I made the leap to corporate communications and a new world of award-winning storytelling. For nearly a decade, I led public relations and social media for a global Fortune 100 company.

Along the way, I traveled the world and jotted down notes, nuggets and slivers for story ideas, in cabs, trains and planes. Always saving the ideas for “one day.” Until it was time to start playing with those ideas, add new ones, and take another leap. Now, I’ve written my first children’s book and am querying its debut.
When it comes to dreaming up new ideas, I get a lot of creative inspiration from my two young sons. I live with my boys, husband and our rescue dog in Connecticut.

Writing is the thread that runs through everything.
